Executive Board meeting of the Hamden Hill Ridge Riders

Executive Board Meeting May 26 at the Hamden Town Hall

Present: Pete DeBrock, Earl Sines,Hank Groth,Marilyn Armstrong, Gary Tymeson, Matt Sluiter, Gerry Wright, Bill Wright, Joe Caso, Ron Favret, Dave Sprague

Meeting started with the Pledge of Allegiance
Marilyn gave financial report
Matt read last months minutes from membership meeting.

Items Discussed-

1- Hats. Joe to check to see if we can get multiple designs at the same price as one design.

2-Matt thought that it would be a good idea to have some members check the minutes before they were posted so there would be no mistakes going out to the membership. Hank agreed. Members to get the minutes are Joe Caso, Matt Sluiter Earl Sines, Marilyn Armstrong and Bill Wright.

3– The case of Mike Drew taking over the job of Secretary on the next term was discussed. Rich Talbot’s name also was introduced as a possible candidate. Joe Caso to contact Mike to see if he is still interested. A possible split of the duties between two members might be a possibility.

4– Earl said he was still interested in having a landowner picnic.

5– New trail to Walton. The trail was walked with Gerry Wright, Earl Sines and Sue McEntire. Earl said that $2000 would be needed for materials to complete the trail. All landowners have given the ok for the trail. The trail would have to be GPS’d before approval. Earl was given the ok to purchase a GPS to do our trails. Matt Sluiter made the motion and was 2nd by Hank Groth. When the trail is approved by the County we will then allot money to complete it. Trail has to be in to Parks & Rec. By June 18.

6– Earl said he would like to add signs at the start of our trails welcoming riders to the Hamden Hill Ridge Riders trail system. Gerry Wright made a motion to purchase 5 signs for $100 second by Matt Sluiter and passed.

7– It was decided to contribute $100 to Dave Sprague, along with other clubs, to help him defray expenses while being our representative and as a gesture of thanks. Motion by Joe Caso 2nd by Marilyn Armstrong

8– Trail Boss issue. Matt would like a map of responsibility. Pete DeBrock to do trails north of rte 10, Bill Wright to do trails south of rte.10.

9– Grant Committee? No committee but Earl will look into it.
